which is better?Canon SD300/IXUS40 or Canon SD400/IXUS50?

I'm planning to buy a digital camera in the near future and I'm torn between the Canon SD300 or the SD400.

My search has been narrowed down to the Canon SD400/ixus50, SD300/ixus40, SD800IS/ixus850is, SD1000 digital elph/ixus 70. Frankly,

if I were to buy one
I would go with the 850
go to canonusa.com
and read about it.
It is very impressive.
