How is the Amnesty International looked upon? How do general people actually feel about the organization?

I was about 14 (in 2007) when I came to know about Amnesty International when my new history teacher that year had a couple of Amnesty International's posters in his room. I got readily interested since I thought it was for a good cause and the posters

i was a member for a number of years.

some of the issues they take up are actually true, moral, decent causes... *some*
when you're a member, you get your little newsletter - keeps you up to date on their doings...
